Biorigin is a Brazilian company present in more than 30 countries and employs knowledge and technology to promote health and life quality. Using biotechnological processes, it produces natural ingredients for flavor enhancement, salt reduction, to food shelf life, for nutritional enrichment of animal feeds and antibiotic replacement for animal use.
Biorigin is a business unit of Zilor, a company with more than 60 years of experience and one of the largest Brazilian producers of ethanol, sugar, and electric energy from sugarcane. The yeast Saccharomyces Cerevisiae, the foundation of several solutions developed by Biorigin, is obtained from the process of sugar fermentation for the production of ethanol in the Pure Culture and brewer’s yeast plant.
Biorigin was founded in 2003 and in 2008 acquired the companies PTX Food Corp. (currently Biorigin US) and Immunocorp Animal Health, from Norway (currently Biorigin Europe), extending and strengthening its international present. Today, Biorigin has four plants, with three in Brazil (Lençóis Paulista, Macatuba and Quatá, in the state of São Paulo) and one in Louisville, Kentucky, USA. The company has offices and trading units in the US, France, Belgium, Norway, Germany and Italy, in addition of a large network of distributors around the world.
There are eight products for the animals industry, developed under the concept of functionalities that provide solutions for frequent problems faces be the beef, pork, poultry and fish production chains. We supply nutrient sources that improve feed conversion ratio, weight gain, boost the immune system and act as natural growth promoters.
