Yukon King Seafoods fishing grounds are located at the lower portion of the Yukon River which empties into the Bering Sea. Local people rely on the river and the Yukon Salmon for subsistence and commercial purposes. More than 600 individual fishermen, mostly Yup'ik Eskimo from the surrounding villages, participate in the fishery. It truly is a fishery with a history thousands of years old.
Yukon King Seafoods is the distributor for Maserculiq Fish Processors, an Alaska native-owned processing facility located in Marshall Alaska, on the banks of the Yukon River. Maserculiq Fish Processors is a HAACP certified processing facility that works closely with the Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation to follow HAACP guidelines.
