Members of the Association are more than 100 major industry companies, organizations, research institutions and associations of economic entities of all types of property and various legal forms, including the regional unions and associations of fishermen.
VARPE purpose - protection of interests of Russian fishermen, the preparation of specific questions that reflect the needs of the members of the Association, and make them to the bodies authorized to take decisions and exercise control over their execution.
The activities of the All-Russian Association made a number of areas defined by the Charter. In particular, its objectives are:
development of sectoral and basin-regional recommendations on the development of fisheries;
coordination among its members and represent their interests at all levels of management;
development of measures to ensure implementation of various sectoral programs;
organization and implementation of consultation exporters-importers of fish products, goods and services on legal norms, customs, rules, and nuances of the fishing trade, processing trade transactions;
VARPE is also involved in the decision of a number of other large-scale problems affecting the interests of the domestic fishing industry both in the domestic and world markets.
