D’Eon Fisheries is a family owned and operated company which has been involved in the fishing industry in Atlantic Canada for over 50 years. Our 53,000 square foot plant is Located in Port Mouton, Nova Scotia, and the company operates both locally and internationally. Our business is mainly focused on catching and processing Silver Hake (merluccius bilinearis) and other Canadian groundfish species.
The plant is equipped with its own private wharfs and ice making facility and has storage capabilities along with plate freezing capabilities. The plant was designed to accommodate various species and product types. There is an abundance of space that can accommodate additional processing lines if necessary.
The Company sells primarily fresh and frozen Silver Hake. The fresh product is shipped largely to Southern Europe and the frozen product mainly to Northern Africa. The Company deals primarily with a long established network of non-exclusive industry brokers on major accounts.
