With a history of more than 140 years of fishing in these waters, it is safe to say that our Norway Seafoods products are the result of more than a century of developing and preserving a proud craft. Norway Seafoods also supplies wild-caught whitefish such as saithe, haddock and halibut and others – providing consumers with a wide range of safe and delicious seafood. In Norway Seafoods there are more than 130 years of experience. Through generations, the local fishing fleet has delivered fresh fish to us. Today, over 1,700 local fishermen supply them with their fish. There are therefore strong traditions behind the package you fish from the freezer dish. Norway Seafoods compromises Norway’s largest sourcing network, purchasing fresh fish directly from fishermen with a total of 14 sourcing stations along the coast of Northern Norway.  The sourcing stations are all located above the Arctic Circle giving unique access to the most well managed fish stocks in the world and the clear cold waters of the Barents Sea. Additional sourcing of fresh fish and seafood comes from fish auctions and fish farming companies in Europe The company operates 9 primary processing facilities (8 in Norway and 1 in Denmark), and 5 secondary production facilities (1 in Norway, 2 in Denmark and 2 in France). The primary processing facilities are specialized in packing whole fish and fillets, both fresh and frozen.               RECENT HISTORY May 2005 : After the merger of Norway Seafoods AS, West Fish-Aarsæther AS and Nordic Sea Holding AS, Aker Seafoods ASA enlisted Oslo Stock Exchange in May 2005.
