JOÃO DOS SANTOS PIRES, SA, was founded in 1978 and is located at Gafanha da Nazaré, near Ílhavo and Aveiro. It´s the most experienced company in the processing of cod in Portugal. Currently the company employs about 50 people, guiding themselves by high standards of quality, and incorporates in its various areas of production knowledge of traditional culture of cod, supported by three decades of experience. FRIAVEIRO is the main brand that the company commercializes and is known in the market, holding also the brands SECA NOVA and MORHUA for other types of products.
