In 1981, JKL-GROUP was established as JKL-Holding AS in Harstad, the Northern part of Norway.
The company's activities were primarily concentrated on Shipowning, Ship Management and Shipbroking. JKL-GROUP has since diversified into the energy sector and specialized in Barge and Vessel Mounted Electrical Generating Power Plants and Portable Drinking Water Plants.
PROJECT DEVELOPMENT has always been a major activity within JKL-GROUP, with emphasis on unconventional maritime/technical solutions.
SHIPOWNING is a core activity of our group, either by wholly owned ships or as investors/part-owners in other shipping companies. A wide range in types of ships have been owned by the group including dry cargo ships, offshore support vessel and passenger vessels.
TECHNICAL AND MARINE MANAGEMENT is provided to "in-house" marine operations as well as a support service to other shipping companies and marine operations.
