Ever since its establishment in 1922, Hedinn has been one of Iceland's largest and most dynamic mechanical engineering companies.
Hedinn currently employs a staff of 120, with an annual turnover of close to €18 million. The company's production facilities total 7,000 square metres (75,000 square feet).

From the outset, Hedinn's activities have been closely linked with Icelandic fisheries. Innovation, fabrication and maintenance for the Icelandic fishing fleet have traditionally been one of its mainstays, and still are.
Another aspect of this mission is to supply fishing operators with the best fleet solutions and machinery available at any time. Hedinn is the primary service provider in Iceland for Roll-Royce Marine, which is one of Europe's largest innovators and manufacturer of advanced technology marine equipment. This includes vessel development, IT solutions, advances in fishing technology, engines, steering gear, propellers, gears and winches.
Hedinn stocks Rolls-Royce Marine spare parts and has specialist staff trained to handle maintenance and servicing as requested.
