On 1st January 1992 "The Dutch Whale" opened its doors to sell fresh and frozen fish and seafood products, with the emphasis on frozen products. Agreements were made with the various long standing business acquaintances regarding the sales of their products. The purely wholesaler function which had been the policy for many years gradually reverted to a trading function. In more recent years, "The Dutch Whale" has become a business selling fish products throughout the Netherlands and abroad. We sell most North Sea products, such as Plaice, Sole, Cod, Mackerel, Herring, Horse Mackerel. In short, anything supplied by the Dutch fishing fleet. We can deliver much of the sea food supplied to the Dutch fish auctions in whichever way the customer requires.
