Fisheries Development Authority of Malaysia (LKIM) is a statutory body under the Ministry of Agriculture and Agro-based Industries, incorporated pursuant to Act 49, the Malaysian Fisheries Development Board Act 1971. This Act into force for the states in the peninsula on November 1, 1971; Sarawak on July 1, 1973, and in Sabah on August 1, 1995.
