Our company is the result of the merger of two companies of great prestige in the domestic market that were born more than 45 years ago: Anderson Clayton and Malta SA.
Clayton Anderson SA started with the marketing of oilseeds, which process pasta obtained essential in the manufacture of feeds. Later he specialized in oil refining and processing for the manufacture of shortenings, margarine and edible oil. It had its headquarters in Texas, and two additional plants in Latin America: An in Mexico and Brazil respectively, which were acquired by the Unilever Group in 1987.
Malta Ltd. was owned by the prestigious group FEMSA-Visa-today, now known worldwide for the manufacture of beer, glass and plate, among others. Malta began the manufacture of feed for animals in 1990. Visa group left the business and sold its plants to the Unilever Group. Thus, in 1992 Unilever was positioned as the manufacturer feeds Mexico's most important.
In 1996, Unilever divests Malta, which was acquired by Countrymark and Growmark, two American co-producing large grains and feeds. Since that time shapes what today is known as MaltaCleyton ®, nutrition experts.
