MKG Provisions is a US based privately owned company. Our company focuses on seafood, beef, poultry, and dairy products for commissaries, foodservice and retailers.
Our goal is to deliver the highest quality and freshest products to our consumers. We work together with our fishermen and growers to ensure consistent quality products with an eye on the environment. The first key objective for MKG is to understand the producer’s challenges and needs. The next is to understand the customer’s wants. MKG than works together with the producers to ensure both goals are met. Once the goals are met, the focus is turned on to the products.
How will MKG deliver the quality and freshness of a product? For this, We turn to technology. Our highly trained staff has developed techniques to capture the freshness at the time of harvesting. What does that mean? It means we use different techniques to prevent muscle cells from bursting. When cells burst they release moisture, it’s the moisture that MKG tries to maintain in a protein. The absence of moisture gives the protein its “tough” or “chewy” texture. It’s safe to say that a majority of the people enjoy a “moist and tender” steak or seafood.
