The company „Föhrer Muscheln“ consists of two companies. This is partly the Delta Muschel Nordfriesland GmbH for breeding and fishing of mussels and the other to handle the dispatch center Föhrer Muscheln GmbH.
Delta Muschel Nordfriesland has existed since the 80s and only deals with the breeding and care of mussels. The property includes a separate clam vessel that has a license to clam fishing. This cutter manages an approximately 170 hectares of cultivated area in the Wadden Sea. This area is in public service contracts established with the State of Schleswig-Holstein and the land will be compensated for financially. Föhrer Muscheln GmbH is a shipping center and was founded in 1996. Here the fresh mussels are grading, cleaned and then sold live to the national wholesale and retail food trade.

Das Unternehmen „Föhrer Muscheln“ besteht aus zwei Gesellschaften. Dies ist zum einen die Delta Muschel Nordfriesland GmbH für Zucht und Fischerei der Muscheln und zum anderen für die Verarbeitung das Versandzentrum Föhrer Muscheln GmbH.
Die Delta Muschel NF besteht schon seit den 80er Jahren und beschäftigt sich ausschließlich mit der Zucht und Pflege vonMiesmuscheln. Zum Eigentum zählt ein eigener Muschelkutter, der eine Lizenz zum Muschelfischen hat. Dieser Kutter bewirtschaftet eine ca. 170 ha große Kulturfläche im Wattenmeer. Diese Fläche ist in öffentlich rechtlichen Verträgen mit dem Land Schleswig-Holstein festgelegt und das Land wird dafür auch finanziell entschädigt.
Die Föhrer Muscheln GmbH ist ein Versandzentrum und wurde 1996 gegründet. Hier werden die frischen Föhrer Muscheln entsandet, entbartet, geputzt und dann lebend an den nationalen Groß- und Lebensmitteleinzelhandel vermarktet.
