The University Hospital Giessen and Marburg (UKGM) provides medical care, advanced diagnostic and comprehensive treatment of the highest international level. As a maximum care hospital, it covers the entire spectrum of modern medicine - from the Eye of the accident to surgery to dentistry.
It is the third largest University Hospital in the Federal Republic of Germany. At the two sites Giessen and Marburg each year about 380,000 patients in 80 hospitals to be supplied: 300,000 outpatients and 80,000 at the stations. 8,500 people are working in various professions.
It is the first privatized university hospital in the country.
