KIS Tuna Pty Ltd is engaged in the ranching of Southern Bluefin Tuna (SBT) in closely monitored farms a few minutes from the shores off Port Lincoln, South Australia. The company was founded in December 2005 by acquisition of M G Kailis (Tuna) Pty Ltd from the M G Kailis Group. The name KIS Tuna was derived from the names of the founding directors, who owned a share in its own SBT quota of around 600 tonnes. Employing only 35 employees, KIS Tuna pride themselves on the quality and condition of their product, and focus on the guarantee of the safety and traceability of their SBT for sashimi markets all over the world.
