Our company was established in 1974 as an engineering factory manufacturing separators. After several reorganizations in the following years, EMF entered the Russian market in the early eighties and started handling projects in the whole CIS area soon after that.
As EMF’s corporate policy was targeted to the east, the foundation of subsidiaries and offices in Eastern Europe and Asia was a corollary. After the handling and termination of several barter projects trade and production companies in the segments meat, fish and timber were founded. That is how we assisted our customers in exporting their products to West Europe.
In 2001 the legal form of EMF Holding GmbH was converted into a joint stock company, EMF Holding AG. Under the umbrella of EMF Holding AG EMF Lebensmitteltechnik-Anlagenbau GmbH and four other group members with 14 subsidiaries now provide a network accompanying our customers in all phases of their projects from the beginning and planning up to implementation. As our subsidiaries have qualified engineers, EMF is in a position to provide comprehensive service and maintenance.
Meanwhile, EMF has been able to make a name for itself as a manufacturer of complete lines for the food industry. As a result of the market requirements focuses became slaughtering of red and white meat, meat processing, fish processing and fish farming along with the necessary refrigerating plants and cold stores. Subsequently EMF established a construction department of its own allowing it to handle international turnkey projects.
