Our unique patented product, the ‘BioBullet’, encapsulates active ingredients in products which are edible to molluscs, enabling efficient, targeted product delivery. Our biofouler control products contain effective actives which are less damaging to water quality and the wider ecosystem than conventional, freely dosed toxins. BioBullets are approved for safe use in drinking water facilities. Uneaten BioBullets degrade to harmless concentrations within a few hours of entering the water, and do not bioaccumulate.
The business holds patents across a global footprint, and has received numerous accolades, including the winning of the UK Research Councils’ business plan competition and the Entec Medal for environmental innovation.
The business has attracted private investment, and grant funding from the Department of Trade and Industry and the Technology Strategy Board.
