K-State is a big deal in the Little Apple. Located in Manhattan, Kansas (aka the Little Apple), Kansas State University (K-State) is a land grant institution that has an enrollment of more than 23,000 students. It offers more than 250 undergraduate majors, 65 graduate degrees, 45 doctoral degrees, and more than 20 graduate certificate programs. Notable alumni include former White House press secretary Marlin Fitzwater and actor Gordon Jump. Along with the University of Kansas and other universities, technical schools, and community colleges in the state, K-State is governed by The Kansas Board of Regents.
