The company was founded in 1972 by three individuals / families locally in Botnhamn. One of these sold his one third of Norway Royal Salmon AS. The two other founders Einar and Helene Johansen and Per Aaker family still has their third, although with some shares that are granted to sons / daughters. Salmon is the company's main product. We have the main harvest season in the New Year holiday, and something less from January to Easter. We have some years has been producing trout, but do not have trout in the lake now. Other species are cod, saithe, haddock and lumpfish
