Tanpesca Ltd is based Tanzania and its main objective is the processing and export of prawns, lobsters, octopus, squid and other Indian Ocean seafood off the coast of Tanzania. Tanpesca Ltd owns and operates a land based processing facility in Mafia Island for processing and freezing of marine products off the coast of Mafia Island, Tanzania. It further operates three prawn trawling factory vessels off the coast of Tanzania. The trawlers are fully geared to operate in Shallow and Deep Waters. The main product range processed and marketed by Marine Product Division comprises of the followings:- Black Tiger Prawns (Penaeus Monodon) Banana Prawns (Penaeus Indicus) Octopus (Octopus Vulgaris) Crabs (Scylla Serrata) Lobsters (Panulirus) Rock Lobster Sand Lobster Squid (Loligo Vulgaris) Cuttle fish (Sepia spp.) Scampi Shrimp Langostine All Marine Products are packaged and branded in line with customers demand and orders in hand. The various Brands under the products are sold in the European market are Alpha Brand, Kuruma Brand, and Rock Brand.
