Fishing is the heritage of the Pacific Northwest. For more than a century commercial fishing has framed that heritage. The Pacific Seafood Processors Association (PSPA) is proud to be a part of that heritage. Once known as the Association of Pacific Fisheries, PSPA has been in continuous existence since 1914. PSPA was established as a non-profit trade association to foster a better public understanding of the importance of the seafood industry and its value to the regional and national economies. Our members provide markets for thousands of fishermen, and career opportunities for thousands more people in the Pacific Northwest. The millions in tax revenue that we contribute each year help to provide important services, which improve the quality of life in Alaska and Washington State. As responsible partners in the seafood industry, PSPA members stand committed to the long-term health of the marine resources and the protection of the marine environment of the North Pacific.
