Seafood Producers Cooperative (SPC) is no ordinary fish company. It is a cooperative of over 500 extraordinary fishermen commited to providing consumers with the highest quality seafood possible. Established in 1944, today SPC is the largest and most successful fishermen’s cooperative in North America. Headquartered in Bellingham, Washington with a state of the art processing plant in Sitka, Alaska, SPC is a vertically integrated company that harvests, processes, and markets hook & line caught halibut, sablefish, salmon, rockfish and albacore.
The dedicated fishermen of SPC are all independent business persons in their own right – pursuing their dreams of a livelihood on the water, dedicated to the superior quality attained by individually handling each and every fish caught, and secure in the knowledge that this “quality versus quantity” endeavor supports the health and long-term sustainability of the wild & natural fish runs they harvest.
