Our name comes from the Japanese word “ikura”, which literally translates to “salted salmon eggs”. The brand IkuraSur emulates the Japanese philosophy of a respect for tradition and a reverence for nature. In Spanish the word “sur” means the cardinal direction “south”. The origin of our ikura comes from the robust salmon that live in Chile’s southern glacial waters.
