Supermercados Gigante is a supermarket chain in the Community of Madrid. Family character, Giant began in 1979 at the hands of Manuel and Benito, its founders. In 1986 the name was set Gigante Supermarkets and today the company is in the hands of their children.
Cermol 79 (parent company) in his home had two founding partners. Both paths possessed grocery stores in Cercedilla and Los Molinos, but pushed for a new conception of trade. Took a risk and decided to invest in a model that did not exist at that time, a large supermarket, with a very wide range and based on low prices. The year was 1979 when it opened this establishment, located in Guadarrama and consumers known as "cash".
