Alliance Select Foods International, Inc. (Public, PSE:FOOD) is a publicly listed company and one of the leading canned tuna and smoked salmon manufacturers in the Philippines. Our canned tuna factories are located in General Santos City, Philippines and Bitung, North Sulawesi, Indonesia. We have a daily capacity of 200 metric tons and our products are currently exported to sixty (60) countries. Our factories in General Santos City and Bitung are both strategically located in the “tuna highway”, the Western Central Pacific Ocean, where 48 percent of the world’s tunais harvested. This allows us to provide our customers with the freshest fish at the most competitive prices. At Alliance Select Foods International, Inc. (ASFI), our mission is to manufacture in partnership with our global customers and local stakeholders, high quality food products from naturally sustainable sources by using globally acknowledged best practices. On January 2009, as part of the ASFI’s product diversification strategy, Alliance acquired Prime Foods NZ, one of the largest New Zealand based processor of smoked salmon. Their much acclaimed product range includes hot and cold smoked salmon produced using their own unique smoking technique originally based on an old Scottish recipe. On February 2010, Big Glory Bay, our Philippines-based smoked salmon processor, started operations and sells its smoked salmon products under the "Prime Smoke" and "Fjordland" brands which are exported to major supermarkets in Singapore, Hong Kong, Korea and Japan. On August 2011 ASFI purchased 100% stake of Spence & Co. Ltd., a company based in Brockton Massachusetts USA, which specializes in the production of smoked salmon products and sells under its own brand names, "Spence", "Glen House" and "Scottish Heritage". Their products set the industry benchmark and are available in major supermarkets in the United States. On May 2012, with ASFI’s aim to do vertical integration, its subsidiary PT International Alliance Foods Indonesia(PTIAFI) established PT Van de Zee, which has secured a license to fish within the Indonesian EEZ. PT Van de Zee has a potential allocation of 30,000 metric tons of tuna which would be able to fully support a 100% capacity utilization of PTIAFI's processing plant.
