Santander is organized in three principal segments: Continental Europe, the United Kingdom and Latin America.
Continental Europe covers all retail banking business, wholesale banking and asset management and insurance conducted in Europe, with the exception of the United Kingdom. It also includes such units as the Santander Network, Banesto, Santander Consumer Finance, Santander Totta and Banif.
The United Kingdom segment includes retail and wholesale banking, asset management and insurance conducted by the various units and branches of the Bank in the United Kingdom.
Latin America segment includes activities conducted via its subsidiaries and affiliated companies in Latin America.
