AWEX - Wallonia Foreign Trade and Investment Agency is the department of the Walloon Region in charge of promoting foreign trade and attracting foreign investment. His creation, driven by the Decree of 1 April 2004, resulting from the merger between the Walloon Agency for Export and the Office for Foreign Investors (OFI).
The Agency is a public interest organization. It has legal personality, which assures including greater autonomy and greater management flexibility: an important asset in relation to companies.
AWEX is in numbers:

a global network of more than 100 economic and commercial attachés covering hundreds of markets and twenty international organizations.
The Agency is certified ISO 9001 (ed. 2000). This is a significant commitment to ensuring a quality service for enterprises.

L'Agence wallonne à l'Exportation et aux Investissements étrangers (AWEX) est le département de la Région wallonne en charge de la promotion du commerce extérieur et de l'accueil des investisseurs étrangers. Sa création, portée par le décret du 1er avril 2004, résulte de la fusion entre l'Agence wallonne à l'Exportation et l'Office for foreign Investors (OFI).
