The mission and objectives of the National Aquaculture Association (NAA) is to provide a unified national voice for US aquaculture that ensures its sustainability, protects its profitability, and encourages its development in an environmentally responsible manner. The NAA unifies a diverse aquaculture community to:
Serve as “One Voice, One Industry” on national issues
Advocate for US aquaculture to the US Congress and federal agencies
Provide information on issues that impact the US aquaculture industry
Increase the demand for US farm-raised seafood
It is difficult for one species group, one company, or one producer to influence policy and government decision-makers. However, by working together the US aquaculture community will be heard. As the “One Voice," the NAA works to ensure that US farmers are represented on the issues that affect them the most. In addition to coordinating action within the farming community, the NAA provides a national voice to media and policy makers.
