The National Association of Fish Entrador seated and Markets central market, was established under the Law on Trade Unions right to 19/77, and due to the extension of the original name, it was agreed to reduce it and use the logo ANMAPE with the shorter name, the National Association of Wholesale Fish Market.
Created in 1977, now has 387 member companies operating in 12 major markets located in Madrid, Barcelona, Bilbao, Valencia, Zaragoza, Palencia, León, Salamanca, Granada, Cordoba, Seville and Malaga. ANMAPE and its partners constitute 60% of the marketing of fish products in Spain, which in 2006 totaled over 500,000 tons.
Anmape institutional relations are articulated at the state and government: MAP (Monitoring of Prices), FROM (Directorate General of Fisheries, Fisheries Directorate General Structure, Area Development).
