Graham Packaging (Public, NYSE:GRM) began as a regional domestic plastic container supplier in the mid 1970s. The Sonoco Graham Company, a limited partnership and the precursor to Graham Packaging Holdings Company, was formed in 1989. It became Graham Packaging Company in 1991.
The Company designs, manufactures and sales of value-added, custom blow molded plastic containers for branded consumer products. The Company’s customers include multi-national and regional blue-chip consumer product companies.
The Company’s products provide differentiated packaging for consumer products that help address basic needs, such as nutrition, hygiene and home care. The Company is organized and managed on a geographical basis in three operating segments: North America, Europe and South America. Each operating segment includes four major categories: Food and Beverage, Household, Personal Care/Specialty and Automotive Lubricants.
