Iasc Mara Teoranta('IMT') processes pelagic species with particular emphasis on herring and mackerel and is Ireland's largest exporter of marinated herring products. The company uses automated processing lines to process 100 tonnes of herring and 100 tonnes of mackerel a day. In addition IMT has cold storage capacity of 1000 tonnes. Its freezing facilities include plate, tunnel and I.Q.F. freezers. The facility is HACCP approved and strict quality control procedures are in place for all stages of the production process.
