Rockabill Shellfish Ltd is a privately owned Irish company formed in 1984. It's owners, the Price family, have a tradition in the fishing industry going back many generations. The company specializes in 'Fresh Frozen' seafood product and invests time, capital and management effort to ensure the integrity of its cold supply chain. The Company's goal is to attain a seamless connection between the seabed and consumers so as to ensure that 'Fresh Frozen' is fresher than fresh. In 1996 it was decided to form an integrated operation involving Catching, Processing and Exporting of High Quality Shellfish  Products, specialising in the production of Whole Scampi "Nephrops Norvegicus"and Razor Clams "Ensis Siliqua". Both products were available in sufficient quantities in Irish Waters, with sustainable annual fishing quotas, to justify the creation of a modern Processing and Freezing Plant. The Company's vessels fish the traditional fishing grounds off the Irish Coast, which includes the Porcupine Bank - a deep sea Scampi fishing territory 300km south of Ireland. Our modern factory is situated in Balbriggan, County Dublin adjacent to the M1, Dublin Airport, Dublin Docks and East Coast Fishing Ports, giving easy access for local and export product collection and distribution. The company employs circa 40 people. The factory is registered with the appropriate EU/ Local Authorities (Reg., No. IE DN 0026 EC). Production is carried out in accordance with fully approved and implemented HACCP system. Chilling, Quick Freezing by Liquid Nitrogen.
