AFCO, the Spanish Association of Manufacturers of Containers and Corrugated Packaging, has launched the first corrugated cardboard box to transport fresh fish endorsed by AFCOfish quality brand. The new case was officially launched at the IX AECOC Seafood, held in Alcabre, Vigo, 29 and May 30, 2008. It is a revolutionary package, designed for the refrigerated transport 6 kilos of fresh fish plus 2 kilos of ice. This opens the doors to a new niche market for corrugated cardboard, once again, is positioned as a sustainable packaging material of choice for the XXI century. Natural, renewable, 100% recyclable and biodegradable, protects the product and the planet.
