Flokenes Fiskeoppdrett A/S is a well-run fish farm for breeding salmon. It was established in 1990 by Ingvar Osland and Steinar Hagesæther, both have experience with fish breeding since 1984.
Flokenes Fiskefarm A/S have 2 licences (25000kbm) and produces salmon at 3 locations in the outer part of Førde fjord in Askvoll district. The base – with quays, fish meal warehouse and an office is situated in Flokenes.
The yearly production is approximately 1500 tonnes of salmon with an emphasis on size 4 – 5 kg. The Førde fjord is well suited for breeding salmon and typical for salmon from Flokenes is a long and slender fish with a silver shiny exterior and a good red colour in the meat.
