FISH REVOLUTION! is an organization aimed at increasing awareness around the plight of our oceans’ fisheries and empowering consumers to force a shift in demand from traditional unsustainable fishing practices to sustainable methods that will ensure healthy production of seafood for years to come. We believe in supporting fishing communities that are taking steps to conserve fish populations and their livelihoods while bridging the gap between scientist, government, and fishermen.
More specifically, our goals include:
Empowerment of seafood consumers by raising awareness of sustainable fisheries and seafood issues.
Development of promotional social-media-based consumer network
Establishment of contacts with various non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and individuals who are working toward sustainable seafood awareness.
Coordination of public outreach and education efforts.
Production of marketing and educational materials.
Our current efforts are jointly-based in San Francisco, California and Honolulu, Hawaii. We are working toward establishing a future non-profit to fulfill organizational goals by brining the message of sustainable fishing and seafood to the masses!
