Installation in Tenerife Refinery Spanish Petroleum Company, which took place a few years earlier, allowed to have a stable source of supply. Today, Disa has storage facilities in each of the islands, with a total capacity of 215,000 m³. The first was built in 1952 on the island of La Palma in partnership with Shell 50%. In December 2004 Disa Shell Petroleum Corporation acquired the business of retail and direct sales on the Peninsula, a network of 265 stations with an annual turnover of around one million four hundred thousand m³. This is a modern network with an average age of station less than 10 years. In March 2005, Shell acquired the business in the Canary Islands, Ceuta and Melilla, with 75 stations, 66 in the Canary Islands and Ceuta and Melilla in September, with a sales volume of 225,000 m³. Disa establishes an agreement with Shell trademark license allowing you to maintain the image of Shell in the network. In September 2007, formalized the purchase Disa Total Spain, SA, 4 stations, its direct sales business and society Petroli, SAU based in Barcelona. In March 2011, DISA pushes its growth plan and acquired the gas stations that the British oil company BP had in Ceuta. This operation makes the company DISA industry benchmark in Ceuta and Melilla, and reinforces its position as the leading independent operator of service stations in Spain with 543 stations.
