1896 - FDB created by the association of Jutland and Sealand common associations.
By 2001 FDB owns 38% of shares in Coop Norden AB, while KF and NKL owns respectively 42% and 20%. Coop Norden AB, which owns subsidiaries COOP Denmark A / S, Norway COOP AB COOP Sverige AB, which operates the respective food chains in each country. In Denmark, the associate independent associations need to COOP Denmark through a franchise agreement.
2008 - From 1 January 2008 FDB is the sole owner of Coop Denmark A/S
FDB, NKL and KF decides in 2007 to dissolve the Coop Norden AB and operate the respective daily activities under the auspices of Coop Denmark, Coop Sweden and Norway COOP back to their countries.
Meanwhile, Coop Trading A/S was established as a joint Nordic purchasing company owned by Coop Denmark, Coop Sverige and Coop Norway.
