Tekni-Plex is known for mixing a pinch of complexity into its packaging. The company manufactures packaging, industrial materials, specialty resins, and tubing for food, healthcare, and consumer industries. Its consumer packaging arm churns out foam egg cartons, poultry and meat processing trays, pharmaceutical blister films, and aerosol and pump packaging parts. Irrigation and garden hoses, medical tubing, and pool and vacuum hoses are also produced, under its tubing products division. Tekni-Plex makes polyvinyl chloride (PVC) compounds and recycled polyethylene terephthalate (PET) for a variety of industrial end uses. Oaktree Capital Management and Avenue Capital Group of New York own 80% of the company.
