Between 1998-1999, the Columbus Seafoods Corporation was organized to operate the canned sardine business from a newly built factory in Zamboanga. Century Pacific Food, Inc.’s sardines business packs value with good taste and quality in the canned sea foods category. Canned sardines, bangus (milkfish), mackerel, and squid are branded 555, Blue Bay, Lucky 7, and Century. In 1984, responding to the sardine shortage in the country, Century Pacific Food, Inc. began producing canned sardines under the 555 name, with a taste profile suited to the Filipino family. Highly visible advertising and marketing strategies pushed 555 Sardines to new heights. Century Pacific Group of Companies is in the business of feeding people. Through the manufacturing, marketing, and distribution of sea foods like tuna and sardines, meat, and milk, we create brands like Century, Argentina, Blue Bay, 555, Angel...more. The company owns Yoshinoya in Phillipines, the fast food chain, brings quick Japanese cuisine to harried mall shoppers. Yoshinoya offers Bentos and meals. Exporter of canned and pouched tuna to companies in USA, Canada, Europe, Asia, and Africa, attaching world-famous brands to our world-class products.
