Our farming method is equally unique. We have over one hundred acres of flat, low lying poor quality coastal land within two hundred meters of the sea in South Wales on which we have built shallow ponds. Once filled with seawater these ponds look after themselves pretty much, with only a little circulation and filtration. The mud substrate populated with filtrating worms and other organisms, found within any healthy marine ecosystem, create a very natural environment for our fish to thrive.
It is in these low impact, low biomass ponds using truly sustainable feed that we now grow seawater rainbow trout of unequalled quality. Besides fish, these integrated eco-systems will also facilitate shellfish production. As a measure of quality, even Michelin starred chefs have praised our fish….
