The Faculty of Veterinary Science UNNE is strategically located in the northeast region of the country where there is great diversity and socio-economic environment with varied options for agricultural production. Furthermore, its location is particularly associated with the MERCOSUR countries. These characteristics create a real demand for the particular career spanning the provinces of Mesopotamia and neighboring region, although its influence also extends to the Northwest Region Argentina.
Institutional mission of the Universidad Nacional del Nordeste (UNNE) and therefore of the Faculty of Veterinary Science (FCV) as a member of the academic units are spelled out in its Statute (Nature and Purpose, § 1, 2 and 3) , and clearly provide for the functions of teaching, research, extension and dissemination of knowledge.
