AMASA is a prominent company in the fish processing and export sector in Brazil. It was inaugurated in February 1979 in Belém do Pará, on the north coast of the country.

Considered one of the most traditional shrimp and fish processing plants in Brazil, Amasa started its operations dedicated to the export of pink shrimp (Farfantepemaeus subtilis) aimed at the Japanese, European and North American markets. Aiming at business growth and the search for new markets, the company decided to expand its portfolio, thus starting to operate with fish, such as Red snapper, Acoupa weakfish, White drum, Highwaterman catfish, Amazon ilisha, Laulao catfish, King weakfish, Green weakfish, among other species.
Currently, AMASA has an annual production of 6 thousand tons of shrimp and fish. The industrial park has more than 7 thousand square meters, with freezing in plate cabinets and tunnels with capacity for up to 30 tons per day. In addition to refrigerated chambers that can store up to 1,200 tons at a temperature of -28°C.
