From Hatchery to Market Hatchery – We operate a modern $3 million hatchery at Guthalungra North Queensland supplying our total seed stock needs each year. We therefore have control of quality from hatchery to market. Operations – Seawater used for growout is drawn from the GBR and our prawns thrive in this excellent environment. Harvest and processing is carried out in strict accordance with Australian HACCP principals insisted upon by our major Australian chain store customers. Processing – Each year our processing staff undergo formal training conducted by an industry professional. Strict attention to temperature control, grading and time taken in processing ensure a premium quality product for the end consumer. Fresh product is available December to June each year. In addition we supply frozen product over the whole year from our large on farm freezers.
