Omnium Marocain de Pêche (OMP), a private group under Moroccan law, is created in 1978. OMP is organized around four subsidiaries consisting in fishing, seafood processing, naval repair and marketing & distribution. The fleet of the group and its sister companies has increased and is now strong with 50 freezer trawlers.

Fishing
Omnium Marocain de Pêche Fleet operates, from its home base in Tan Tan, the leading national fleet with 50 freezer trawlers specializing in cephalopod fishery. This fishery has since 2004 a modern cephalopod fishery management plan based on individual quotas for a sustainable exploitation of this resource renown worldwide for its richness and quality.
Ship repair
Chantier Naval de l’Afrique, OMP Group subsidiary specializing in ship repair, supplies in Tan Tan Port all services necessary for the maintenance and repair of vessels: dry docking, boiler work, mechanics, carpentry, refrigeration, electronics and other services.
Seafood further processing
Strengthened by its integrated industrial approach based on a unique supply capacity and modern infrastructure, OMPI is able to enhance the added value generated by the fleet catch while contributing to increasing fish consumption at a national level and furthermore, satisfy the international demand for further elaborated products.
Seafood marketing
IWASHII Maroc is the latest OMP Group subsidiary dedicated to seafood marketing and distribution on the national market, with a leading position in batter and breaded fish products and a new line of sardine based products to be launched this year, 2010, for the Moroccan market specific needs.
