General Introduction:

Our jacketed kettle with mixer are made of 304 stainless steel both inside and outside and have smooth and shiny appearance. It can be manually tilted by using a handle on the side or tilted automatically making it easier and safer to pour the contents inside the pot.

Generally steam jacketed kettle is equipped with pressure gauge, temperature sensor, steam inlet, steam outlet, steam trap and safety valve.

The jacketed kettle is widely adopted in various food processing industries, such as sugar, sauce, curry, dishes, beverage, liquor, dairy, cake, chemical and medicine, etc., also can be used in large restaurants and canteens for boiling, cooking, frying and stewing large quantities of food.

Working principle:

First filling the retort with a small amount of process water and the water level is maintained below the basket bottom level. Then the process water is drawn from the bottom of the retort by a high capacity circulation pump and spray from nozzles located along the top and sides of the retort.

Simultaneously the steam valve opens and the steam is introduced into the retort through the steam spreader on the bottom of the retort directly heating those process water spraying from nozzles and making the temperature inside retort to reach the programmed sterilization temperature rapidly. The steam will keep the retort at high set temperature during the sterilization process. And the pressure in the retort also will be controlled by adding or venting compressed air as needed so that those sterilized containers will not deform or be damaged .

Finally the cooling water through heat exchanger will continually make those sterilization water cool down until the sterilization process is finished. This retort is equipped with safety locking device in case of residual pressure or high water level.
